Warranties

STAINLESS STEEL

3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

ICI guarantees the original purchaser of our products a limited three-year warranty from the date of original purchase against manufacturer defects in materials, workmanship, and finish under normal use. This warranty does not include damage resulting from road hazards such as gravel or other debris, product misuse, improper installation, impairments
from accidents, product modifications, product neglect, or scratches during the life of the product. This limited three-year warranty applies only to new products and is limited to the repair or replacement of the company’s products. The warranty does not include costs of freight, removal, installation, labor, inconvenience, or consequential damages. The original purchaser must return defective merchandise along with the purchase receipt to the original place of purchase.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

As with any outdoor product, proper care is essential for maintaining the high luster and corrosion properties of stainless steel. The stainless steel we use at ICI is a premium grade stainless steel. Stainless steel is one of the most durable metals produced for outdoor use. Nature can and will fade or tarnish the appearance of any polished finish. In rare cases, the appearance of rust can form on the polished finish. The “surface rust” as it’s called, is simply elements found in nature that oxidize the finish. We recommend regular cleaning with soap and water. The use of regular car wax applied every three months will provide a slick, protective barrier that will not allow the oxidizing elements to rest upon your ICI product. If rust spots do appear, remove them promptly with a chrome, brass, or silver cleaner. ICI strongly recommends these preventative measures so that you can enjoy our products for years to come.

ALUMILITE SERIES

STRUCTURAL WARRANTY

The warranty only applies under normal conditions and proper use of ICI products. Any modifications or misuse of the ICI product will void the warranty. All Alumilite Bumpers and Side Steps by ICI have a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the structure beginning on the original purchase date. The warranty only applies to the original purchaser and protects against any structural manufacturer defects. The Alumilite Bumper and Side Step structural warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product or component. Repair or replacement is at the sole discretion of Innovative Creations Industries. Photographs of the damage must be sent to ICI to begin any warranty claim. These photographs will be used to determine whether or not the product qualifies for a warranty claim and determine if the product will be repaired or replaced.

FINISH/COATING

Alumilite Bumpers and Side Steps have a powder coat finish that comes with a one-year warranty from the original purchase date. ICI will not warranty the finish after 2 years due to the exposure of the natural elements. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, modifications, or abuse. Chips or damage from stones or impacts of any kind are not covered by the finish warranty. During the installation process, it is especially important to adjust the bumper and side steps before tightening the bolts to ensure a proper reveal between the product and the truck. If the product is in contact with any part of the truck (i.e. grille, fenders, headlights, rocker, mud flaps etc.), the vibrations caused by everyday driving can also damage the powder coat; this is not covered under warranty.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Due to the abuse that the bumpers and side steps receive during normal use, it is very important to care for and maintain this product regularly. Clean and protect your new bumper or side steps at least two times per month. In regions where salt or chemicals are used to keep roads clear of snow and ice, it is recommended you do this on a weekly basis to maintain the powder coat finish. Make sure that your bumpers or steps are completely dry after cleaning. Do not let water stand on the surface of the bumper or side steps to avoid discoloring and water spots. Inspect your bumper or side steps regularly for chips and damage from rocks and other road debris. Bumpers and steps are located in high debris impact areas and will incur chips and damage periodically. It is very important to maintain the finish and touch up any exposed aluminum. All warranty claims must be pre-approved by ICI. All returned claims must be accompanied by the original product, purchase invoice, and description of the damage and how it occurred. The customer is responsible for packaging and freight back to ICI. ICI will repair or replace items that have been qualified for warranty based on previously stated criteria. Warrantied products will be repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the customer.
